I'm in a very good mood today. I had an exam this morning and it went very well. I can breathe a little now. I'll worry about the other exams and school projects during March break :) I would like to write about health this time!
To begin, I love peaches! That being said, I could eat about 4 or 5 peaches a day...maybe even more but i try to control my appetite. It's like a drug to me. It is soo addictive! I always feel like overdosing myself. Its flesh is soo sweet and there's a a taste of summer and freshness. You might think i'm trolling when I'm writing this but I'm not. I love cherries as well but they are a slightly expensive :/ I love fruits soo much! If I must be born as a fruit, I would like to be a pineapple. I want to be cut into little cubes and be eaten with a toothpick haha! Eating a fruit salad would be the best dessert ever for me.
Do you know how healthy fruits and vegetables are? Let me share some of my experience with you to be healthy and stay fit.
1. Eating homemade meals are the best things ever! You know what's on your plate as well.
2. Avoid the 'all you can eat' buffet...Especially the chinese ones. Their food is soo oily and could barely stand it. Time hortons is also in the list with the buffets soon. I feel their cappucino being oversweet. I always feel like I'm going diabetic after a cup. I want the old Tim hortons :(
3. A small portion of meat is all you need in a day. No need to indulge yourself. If you do, it's gluttony :) and it's a sin!
4. Drink alot of water and milk is also good. After watching a documentary, I learnt that drinking fruit juice is not very good because you can overdose yourself easily with vitamins. But if you are busy and didn't eat any fruit in any day, a glass of orange juice doesn't hurt.
5. Avoid any type of food with starch and flour. They expand horribly. Bagel is a very good example.
6. if you're not hungry but are still eating, it's also called gluttony. Please refer to number 3. Please eat only when you are hungry.
7. Drinking alcohol gives you a belly.
Now that you have your eating habit in control, it's time to talk about physical exercise. To be honest, I don't do alot of sports or exercising. Because of school, I lack alot of time and when I do have time, I spend it on catching back sleeping hours I missed. But you always have opportunities to do work out during the day. I like to use the stairs instead of the elevator. it's not alot but I'm trying *_* When it's summer, I love having a walk in the park. But the ideal way to stay fit would be real work out. But let's not forget that you must eat healthy. Doing working out everyday but eating junk food is not going to be any better.
