When things go overboard...

Hello readers,

I'm sick and tired of this student strike. I don't mind if they do a strike but when it turns into violence, it is not acceptable. To remind you all, I didn't go back to school since end of February. That being said, I only did my mid terms.

The manifestation began with the students walking on the streets with banners. Ok...I have nothing against that. Few weeks later, the manifestation was held during that night in downtown and they broke shopwindows, cars, etc. Why destroying the windows? Do you thing you can chage the minds of the politicians by doing so? Few weeks later, they threw rocks to a building where those politicians meeting take place. Then the police came over and it was total chaos. The viking was still here back then and to have someone abroad see something like this from my country is embarassing. We look like savages!!!

Like it wasn't enough, they decided to do the manifestation in underwear. Are they nuts? I am a modest person but I don't mind people wearing bikinis. I mean there's a place and time or everything. You want to walk around in a bikini? Fine! Do it in your backyard or to the beach. But why this??? What is the logic in there? Were they trying to sexually tempt the politicians to remove the fees? Why not doing this naked since you are at it?

From the newspaper

Think about it. Who are those students? They are the future leader of my country and they will serve Canada. You, readers of my blog, should put yourself in my shoes. This is on national news. Now let me ask you something. Would you let one of those girls, wearing a bra and thong in public, be the homeroom teacher of your toddler? A teacher has alot of influence to children. You think they can be a role model for your children? That guy in the picture could be our future government. What do you think? I think it's a joke. You can have a manifestation. I don't care but do it with dignity. You don't need to break things in order to get your point across. Destroying things is vandalism. Students have even thrown smoke bomb into the subway and the entire place was shut down for the entire morning causing traffic, etc. Do you want to have a criminal record for doing something like this? It's not worth destroying your future over stupidity like this. Whatever you do, voice yourself in a professional manner because Quebec is the laughing stock right now. *sigh*

Source is from here: http://www2.lactualite.com/jean-francois-lisee/du-courrier-en-attendant-la-loi-speciale/12938/

For those who can't read french, this is what hapenned. An old couple went into the middle of the riot when a cop called the old lady lady as old hag. The husband wasn't happy and challenged the cop. The young police officer used pepper spray on him and the old man was scared till he crapped in his pants. Now I have a serious issue over this. Why on earth would an old couple go there? Don't they have anything else to do instead of risking their life? I mean you have wild students vs. brute cops and they had to go in the middle of all this. Are they crazy? I wouldn't even go there in the first place. You are curious and what to know what is happening? Watch the news!!! I would never sned my grandmother in the middle of that! I mean ...come on people!!! You don't need a school degree to know that it's a danger zone over there.

Am I missing something or are these people really stupid and crazy? Anyways, the result of last vote in favour for the strike was 52%. So it's very close. 48% were not in favour for the strike but yet I have a feeling that everyone believes that all the students in general want this crap which is not the case. The voices of those against the strike are not heard.

Thank you for reading and I do feel much better once again! Goodnight! :)
